Letters
Email Cole at:
cole.moffat@myldsmail.net
until July 15, 2013
There are three options for sending me letters:
1) DearElder.com (FREE) digital letter
Go to this site, type in your letter and sending me a letter is free - no postage. DearElder.com gives it to Church Headquarters in Salt Lake, then the Church forwards your typed letter to me. Pretty easy and it is private.
Choose "Chile Santiago West- FREE" option.
2) Use Pouch Mail (44 cent US Stamp)
To prevent possible fines, only postcards & letters that are single sheet, folded into three-panels, and taped at the top only (no envelopes) may be sent through the pouch. Only write on one side of the page, fold it into thirds, and put your return address and a regular US 44 cent stamp on the front side with this address:
Elder Cole Moffat
Chile Santiago West Mission
POB 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150
The Church will forward it to me from there. The pouch leaves every Friday, so if you send a letter to Salt Lake on Saturday, I won't get it until over a week later.
1) Send letter directly to Chile (international postage)

Packages
I don't expect packages except for twice on my mission: from my family, once each Christmas season. But if you feel so inclined...
Do not send packages through FedEx because they will require me, the poor missionary, to pay a large duty fee. The best way to send a package is through Global Priority Mail, marked missionary supplies, and valued at less than $100. They will usually arrive duty free and within 2 weeks.
